In reading blogs this week I noticed a trend towards purple, satin and lady like dresses. Look at Scarlett Johansson at the 58th Berlinale Film Festival:

Then I came upon this in In Style's The Look section:
Talk about Hollywood royalty! Regal purple satin is the latest fabric to adorn red-carpet princesses. "I love feeling womanly," Anne Hathaway told In Style. In her formfitting Dolce & Gabbana bustier dress (also donned by Fergie), Hathaway lived up to her promise. Those who want to follow her lead must think fit—a too-small satin dress will accentuate every lump and bump. "[Hathaway] still likes being Cinderella for the night," stylist Rachel Zoe has said. Well, if the glass slipper fits....

Then I realized why I loved these dresses all along. I had bought a similar dress and have it on sale in my eBay store. It isn't my size otherwise I would be wearing it and none of you would have a chance to own it.....But alas I've gained more than my fair share of winter padding ;).
